The Hamptons are a set of prosperous communities and a seaside resort. Their popularity dates to the early American colonial days, and the real estate is some of the most expensive in the United States. But the question is: where are the Hamptons? Where are the Hamptons located? The Hamptons are located on Long Island, east of New York City. If we look at the Earth, we would see the Hamptons are located here: We can zoom in on the above image and see the Hamptons are located along the Atlantic Ocean on the Eastern edge of Long Island in the state of New York: To give a good idea, the Hamptons are about 100 miles east of New York City, or about 2.5 hours if there is not traffic: So if you are a rich guy working on Wall Street in Manhattan, having a weekend or summer home in the Hamptons is very desirable and prestigious, as you can quickly get away from all the nonsense of the city whenever you choose. The Hamptons are made up of two towns, Southampton and East Hampton, which have a bunch of small villages (communities) that make up the towns. Hopefully that answered the question on where the Hamptons are. We all remember the Seinfeld episode where George pretended he had a house out in the Hamptons. That's good times.
